Violence Erupts As Herdsmen Strike Benue Community

Suspected armed Fulani herdsmen are currently launching an attack on Tyo-tu community in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State. Situated along Gboko Road in Makurdi, Tyo-tu is facing the brunt of the assault.

Ukan Kurugh, a prominent Benue-born blogger, social media influencer, activist, and humanitarian, has reported that the attack is still ongoing. He urgently calls upon the security agencies to swiftly deploy their personnel to quell the situation.

In a Facebook post, Ukan Kurugh stated, “There is an ongoing attack at Tyo tu along Gboko Road by suspected herdsmen. The security agencies should act promptly, and travelers are advised to exercise caution when traveling on that road.”

Sadly, attacks, kidnappings, and killings by suspected Fulani herdsmen have become a daily occurrence in Benue State, persisting despite all efforts to find lasting solutions.
