According to reports, the bomber—believed to be affiliated with Boko Haram—infiltrated a crowded fish market in Konduga and detonated an explosive, killing at least 10 people.

In his response, Shettima condemned the act in strong terms and called on government agencies to urgently support the victims and affected families.

“Our hearts go out to the families who have lost loved ones in this senseless act of violence. The government stands with them in this difficult time and will provide all necessary support,” he said.

Shettima reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to peace under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating:

“The administration remains dedicated to restoring lasting peace and security to the Northeast and every region of Nigeria. We will not allow our enemies to undermine the progress we have made in weakening their operations.”

He further assured Nigerians that justice will be served, and perpetrators of such atrocities will be held accountable.
