Reality star and singer Uriel Oputa has spoken out following the death of her uncle, veteran Nollywood actor Fabian Adibe, who passed away at 82.

In a touching Instagram story, Uriel expressed her frustration with those who never reached out to her uncle while he was alive but might now show “fake love.”

She wrote:

“I’m just waiting for the fake love to start. I can’t say much out of respect, but this is very personal to me. Nobody checked on my uncle. To my bestie Chi and her sister NK, God bless you both for what you did for Popsi. Rest on, sir.”

Fabian Adibe, celebrated for his roles in Things Fall Apart and other Nollywood classics, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
