Three final-year students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) were arrested shortly after completing their final exams for allegedly violating a newly enforced ban on “signing out” activities.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Earlier this week, the university management announced that final-year students were no longer permitted to celebrate by having friends sign on their shirts, a tradition popularly known as “signing out.”
However, some students reportedly believed the directive would take effect from next year. After today’s exams, a few still went ahead with the practice.
A viral video captured the moment UNIZIK security operatives stormed a hall and arrested two young women and a young man for flouting the rule.
Eyewitnesses said the armed officers forcefully dragged the protesting students out of the hall, leaving their colleagues stunned at the dramatic scene.
