Nigerian hip-hop sensation Eedris Abdulkareem has criticized his fellow artist Burna Boy for remarks made in the past. During a recent podcast appearance, the Jaga Jaga hitmaker condemned Burna Boy’s assertion that he received no support from senior figures in the music industry.
In 2020, Burna Boy, signed with Atlantic Records, stirred controversy by claiming that none of his senior colleagues had played a role in his journey to success. According to Burna, the Nigerian music industry did not extend any assistance to him, as individuals were preoccupied with their own pursuits or were busy criticizing others’ accomplishments.
