In a post on on Thursday, Fani-Kayode emphasized that the attackers targeted both Christians and Muslims indiscriminately.

The ambassador-designate also praised President Bola Tinubu for swiftly deploying troops to the affected area and urged the government to establish a permanent military base in that region.

He wrote:

*”The killing of over 160 innocent Nigerians in Kaiama LGA, Kwara State, is horrifying and utterly condemnable. My deepest sympathies go to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the people of Kwara.

“I acknowledge the efforts being made to combat this menace, though it is regrettable that some internal collaborators are aiding the attackers and politicizing the situation to undermine the work of both the state and federal governments.

“I commend @officialABAT for ordering the rapid deployment of troops to the area and call on the federal government to establish a permanent military presence in this part of the state.

“It is evident that those responsible for these barbaric acts are targeting both Christians and Muslims—this is entirely unacceptable. These killers are not men of faith but bloodthirsty barbarians from a foreign land.

“This is an attack on our nation and our people. We must unite, support both state and federal authorities, and resist these atrocities together. May the souls of the victims rest in peace.”*
