Sammy was recently arrested amid a dispute involving Regina and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, sparking widespread concern on social media over the treatment of the actress’ family.

Jegede took to Instagram to condemn the situation as an injustice, emphasizing the need to stand up for those affected. She wrote:
“Evil thrives when good people stay silent. We will not watch ongoing injustice unfold simply because a young woman chose to leave a marriage. Sir, your actions are proving her right. This is a fight for the girl-child and for our democracy as Nigerians. #freesamuelojeagwu”

Meanwhile, fellow Nollywood star Mercy Johnson reportedly visited a police station in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to inquire about Sammy’s whereabouts. Johnson had previously called for his release.

Sammy’s arrest on Monday, against the backdrop of Regina Daniels’ marital troubles, has drawn strong reactions. Mercy Johnson described the situation as “the worst form of injustice masquerading as justice,” adding:
