Wedding Drama Erupts As Edo Pikin Criticises Seun Kuti’s Angry Walkout At Peller’s Ceremony
Nigerian comedian and actor Gbadamosi Jonathan, popularly known as MC Edo Pikin, has responded to the controversy surrounding Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti’s exit from the traditional wedding of TikTok personalities Peller and Jarvis.
Seun Kuti reportedly left the Lagos event after claims emerged that one of the masters of ceremonies compared music star Wizkid to his late father, Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
Videos circulating on social media showed the singer walking out of the lavishly decorated venue alongside two companions, fueling speculation about the incident.
Reacting in a video shared online, Edo Pikin dismissed the reports, insisting that none of the three MCs at the event made such a comparison.
According to the comedian, the allegation was fabricated, adding that the hosts were actually speaking positively about Seun and his father, but the singer left before hearing the full remarks.
He urged Kuti to exercise patience and verify information before reacting.
“The other two MCs didn’t say anything like that. It’s not that they exonerated me. I made sure I worked very well with the other two MCs. Nobody mentioned anything about Fela and Wizkid.
“We are so agog to negativity, fabricated bad news. At this wedding, there were three MCs. They already had two MCs before the client reached out to me to coordinate his wedding, and the wedding was flawless.
“Sometimes, you need to listen well. The MCs are even praising you. They’re praising Fela, but you didn’t even listen. You just missed the sweet food available that day. We should always verify.
“The event was so perfect that no bloggers even saw where they could latch on. Egbon Seun, be calming. No be everything na quarrel.”
Edo Pikin maintained that the wedding ceremony went smoothly and suggested that the controversy stemmed from misinformation rather than anything that actually occurred during the event.
