According to the source, “Bobrisky was brought to the FCID around 10 p.m. on Monday after being arrested by immigration officials at the Seme Border. He has been detained since Sunday night.”

The source further explained that due to the sensitive nature of Bobrisky’s case, the authorities had to ensure his safety and security during detention. “There are many cells in Alagbon, and for a case like this, you must find the appropriate place to protect the individual. Everyone is aware of Bobrisky’s controversial reputation, and nobody wants to be involved in a scandal. Keeping him with males could pose risks, and since there were no female inmates available, he was given a cell alone near the female section.”

Confirming his detention, FCID spokesperson Mayegun Aminat stated, “He is currently with us at the FCID, Alagbon. We are in the process of securing a remand to keep him in custody today.”

Further details regarding Okuneye’s case are pending, as he was taken to the FCID for safekeeping after being apprehended while attempting to leave the country through the Seme border. The source suggested that Bobrisky might have been aware of ongoing security concerns, indicating that his attempt to exit the country could signify he was evading authorities. “It seems he was trying to escape, and he might be on a blacklist, knowing that security agencies were looking for him,” the source added.
