What Is The Government Afraid Of? – Dele Momodu Sparks National Suspense Over Atiku Saga

Speaking during an interview on ARISE Television on Thursday, July 17, 2025, Momodu asserted that there is widespread fear surrounding Atiku, which, to him, signifies the former VP’s political relevance and strength.

“Everyone seems to be afraid of Atiku. That alone is why I, Dele Momodu, choose to support him. The fact that he continues to dominate political conversations shows that the current government is clearly trying to avoid something,” he stated.

Momodu emphasized that his backing of Atiku stems from a strategic grasp of Nigeria’s political landscape, noting, “Any discerning observer knows that Atiku is currently the most formidable political figure from northern Nigeria.”

He went on to accuse the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of attempting to seize control of the country and transform it into a one-party authoritarian state.

“What the APC is doing now is nothing short of an attempt to hijack the entire nation and impose a one-party system. Our response must be strategic. And these strategies are not always for public discussion, but believe me, they know it, they can feel it,” he said.

Momodu dismissed doubts about the ADC’s electoral potential, urging Nigerians to wait for the 2027 elections to see the results.

“We must insist on genuine democracy—not one where everyone answers to just a single power center. This isn’t about being pushed out of your own space,” he concluded.
