After the meeting, the Ooni shared that Tinubu encouraged Nigerians dissatisfied with his administration to consider voting him out in the 2027 presidential elections. He also emphasized the importance of dialogue, particularly in light of the planned nationwide protest scheduled for August 1-10, 2024.

The President expressed his dedication to tackling the nation’s economic difficulties, with the Ooni noting, “The President has said, ‘If you don’t like any leader, wait until 2027 and vote them out.’ He is open to dialogue. We recognize the challenges Nigeria faces, but are we prepared to ruin our nation ourselves?
