The ruling party has rejected the allegations made by Atiku’s media aide, Phrank Shaibu, who claimed that the Tinubu administration was more focused on spreading falsehoods than on rescuing citizens from the abyss of poor governance.
The APC has rebuked Shaibu for referring to President Bola Tinubu as a liar and has also taken issue with the suggestion put forward by Atiku’s spokesperson that the APC-led administration is deceiving Nigerians with propaganda.
In a statement issued by its national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, the APC expressed little surprise at Shaibu’s outburst, implying that he appears to be deeply affected by his principal’s repeated electoral defeats.
Morka commented, “In his persistent and cynical frivolity, Atiku’s Aide ventured into topics that he clearly lacks comprehension of, likely due to post-electoral traumatic stress disorder (PeTSD) arising from his boss’s ongoing electoral losses.”
Furthermore, the statement highlighted that Shaibu’s primary “evidence” for his claims was that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had appointed more media aides than economic and security advisers, conveniently overlooking the fact that the President had swiftly restructured the security framework and enhanced the capabilities of the Armed Forces to safeguard lives and property.
