Social critic Scott Iguma has hit back at critics who have been attacking him for raising concerns about Lagos State’s deteriorating environment.

In a video shared on social media this morning, Iguma highlighted the deplorable condition of the Ajah area, pointing out stagnant water that he claims has persisted for over three years.

“Look at the disgusting state of Ajah, a well-known part of Lagos. Are we building a mega city or a mega village? This water has been stagnant here for at least two to three years,” he said.

He went on to address those accusing him of only focusing on Lagos instead of his home state.

“For those tribal bigots saying, ‘Scott, why are you only talking about Lagos and not your state?’—if Lagos were clean, if the environment were tidy, wouldn’t you also enjoy it? Why are you choosing stupidity over common sense?”
