Amaechi, a notable figure within the APC, has been relatively silent in public domains following his party’s primary loss to President Tinubu and the subsequent defeat of APC in Rivers to the Wike-led PDP. This video interview offers a rare glimpse into his current sentiments.

When asked about his intentions of returning to Rivers, Amaechi responded, “For now, Abuja is where I reside. My current ‘Governor’ is the Minister of FCT. I conduct my business here. When it’s time to cross the bridge back to Rivers, I will, but that time hasn’t come yet.”
