On various social media platforms, Nigerians expressed their dismay and frustration. One Twitter user commented, “How can the minister say we are broke after the government has splurged hundreds of billions on lawmakers? Where are our priorities?”
Another user pointed out the evident disparities in government spending: “It’s shocking how they always find money for their personal agendas but suddenly go broke when it’s about the public.”
