In a recent interview, Bovi clarified that there is no rift between them, explaining that their careers simply took different directions as their interests evolved.
According to him, his tendency to quickly get bored with routine inspired him to explore fresh ventures, build his personal brand, and establish himself as a standalone force in the comedy industry.
Bovi emphasized that his priority is financial independence and personal success rather than splitting profits with others.
He said:
“I’m cool with Basketmouth, nothing happened. I’ve answered this before. Interests changed, especially for me. I wanted to spend more time with my family, elevate myself, and try new things. I moved into films, returned to TV, and focused on proving that I can hold the mic on my own. If I announce a show at Eko Hotel and it sells out, why should I go share money? Why should many of us do one show when I can keep the profits myself?”
