Why Your UTME Result May Be Missing — JAMB Finally Speaks Out

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified why some candidates are seeing a “No Result Yet” message when checking their Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results, explaining that the issue mainly affects underage candidates whose scores have not been released.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a statement issued on Tuesday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board reiterated that only candidates who will be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, are eligible to register and sit for the examination.

JAMB noted that while exceptions are allowed for exceptionally gifted candidates, such individuals must meet strict academic requirements to qualify under the special category.

According to the board, underage candidates attempting to check their results will continue to receive the “No Result Yet” notification until further decisions are made.

It added that only candidates who score at least 320 in the UTME will be considered for the next stage, which includes additional screening where they must also achieve a minimum of 80 percent.

The board explained that this arrangement aligns with an agreement reached with parents of underage candidates, ensuring that only those who meet the high performance threshold will proceed further in the admission process.
