Omokri opined on the strategic acumen of Nyesom Wike, acknowledging him as a brilliant political strategist. However, he suggested that there might be lessons to learn from Bola Tinubu’s approach in dealing with political challenges.

In a tweet, Omokri remarked, “Nyesom Wike is a brilliant political strategist. But perhaps he also needs to learn from Bola Tinubu.” He drew a comparison by highlighting how Tinubu orchestrated the ousting of Ambode as the governor of Lagos State with relative subtlety and strategic timing.

Omokri emphasized the importance of patience in politics, citing Tinubu’s approach of allowing Ambode to complete his first term before denying him a second term. He pointed out that despite Tinubu’s significant control over Lagos State, he exercised patience to achieve his political goals without causing upheaval.

The tweet conveyed the idea that Wike could benefit from incorporating such subtletoty and patience into his political strategy. Omokri quoted Sun Tzu, stating, “Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.” The underlying message encourages strategic planning, choosing the right time and place for political battles.

Omokri advised Wike to recognize the Governor’s vulnerability during the transition between terms, suggesting it as an opportune moment for strategic moves. The commentary reflects on the nuances of political maneuvering, urging leaders to consider the timing and approach in achieving their objectives.
