During a meeting with the EU Ambassador to Nigeria, Samuela Isopi, in Abuja, Wike expressed his disappointment and argued that the EU’s role should be impartial observation rather than presenting an inaccurate report on Nigeria’s electoral democracy.

Wike emphasized the differences between Nigerian laws and EU laws, citing the unique environments in which they operate. He stressed the need for cooperation and agreement on specific development areas for the country’s economic growth.
