He asserted that, as someone who abhors disloyalty, he cannot contest against his mentor, President Bola Tinubu.
Highlighting his unwavering loyalty to the Tinubu administration, Wike recalled how his pursuit of justice led him and five other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors to establish the G5, advocating for a transfer of power to the Southern part of the country.
In an interview on Friday in Abuja, the minister emphasized the importance of maintaining excellent character in the realm of politics.
He stated, “Tinubu appointed me as the FCT minister, and I won’t permit anyone to undermine our political structure.
No! Tinubu appointed me as a minister, and people may not comprehend – I have integrity. What will transpire in 2027? I stood firm, declaring my refusal to endorse injustice. I faced threats of various kinds, including attempts involving Major Generals.”
