He emphasized that Abuja is the Federal Capital and should be treated as such, regardless of his hometown, Katsina.
Wike emphasized that all appointees in the FCT should serve the entire population without regard to ethnic or religious backgrounds, as Nigeria is a nation that belongs to everyone.
The minister also highlighted President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to rekindling hope among Nigerians through the implementation of people-centric policies.
He urged FCT appointees to align their efforts with the President’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” and to be prepared to be accountable for their responsibilities.
Wike stated, “Nigerians have lost hope, hence the need for the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President. You must not serve only people from Katsina, but all Nigerians. Bear in mind that in the end you will be held accountable. Nigerians are tired of getting excuses all the time.”
