The Ministry recently started disbursing funds to contractors responsible for executing the scheme. Oshiobugie John, a beneficiary, praised the program, stating, “The training in producing soaps, deodorants, and other agricultural products has been invaluable. The funds will help expand my business and contribute to the regional economy.”
Another participant, Anthony, commended the Ministry and Minister Abubakar Momoh for their dedication. “This initiative proves the Ministry’s commitment to making a real difference,” he said.
Contractors confirmed the ongoing payments and assured those still awaiting funds that disbursements are progressing smoothly. This year’s scheme has been particularly praised for its localized approach, conducting all activities within the Niger Delta states, unlike previous programs held in Abuja.
The scheme’s focus on local communities is expected to boost economic resilience and sustainable development across the region.
