Renowned writer and Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka has declared that he will not reapply for a United States visa, despite a request from the U.S. Consulate in Lagos.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Soyinka had earlier revealed that his U.S. visa was revoked, effectively banning him from entering the country.

Speaking further on the matter during an interview with BBC Yoruba, the literary icon said he has no plans to visit the embassy or take any steps to resolve the issue.

“If you read the letter they sent me, it said I should bring my passport so they can stamp it to indicate that the visa has been cancelled. They must be joking. I should take my passport to those who revoked my visa? I told them to come to my house themselves and stamp it,” Soyinka said.

He went on to insist that he has no intention of reapplying, either online or in person.

“I won’t be filling out any form or visiting the embassy again,” he stated. “If someday they realise they made a mistake and want to return my visa, they should bring it to my house. But before they come, they’ll need a visa to enter.”
