Woman Taken Into Custody Following Deadly Stabbing Incident In Lagos

According to Hundeyin, Lukmon Adio, the deceased’s husband, reported the incident at the Ajegunle Police Division around 9:48 pm on Sunday. The unfortunate event unfolded after Bakarat, Adio’s late wife, had a minor altercation with Aigbondon while collecting water from a public tap near their residence.
“The disagreement allegedly escalated, leading the suspect to stab Bakarat with a kitchen knife on the left side of her ribs. She was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital, where attending doctors pronounced her dead,” explained Hundeyin.
The police spokesperson mentioned that law enforcement officials visited the crime scene, collected relevant evidence, and took photographs. Bakarat’s lifeless body has been transferred to the morgue for a thorough autopsy and preservation.
