Yemi Alade Criticizes Lagos Government’s Demolition Policy, Citing Investor Concerns....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Singer Yemi Alade has expressed strong criticism towards the Lagos State government, accusing it of dissuading Nigerians from investing in the state’s real estate sector. This comes in the wake of a recent demolition of houses in the Mende area, which Alade condemned via an Instagram post on Sunday.

Alade highlighted her dismay at the government’s frequent demolition activities, emphasizing the negative impact on citizens’ lives as they are suddenly rendered homeless. She argued that these demolitions not only disrupt the lives of residents but also diminish the real estate value of Lagos, ultimately deterring potential investors.

In a series of follow-up posts on Monday, the singer urged the state government to consider compensating legal buyers affected by the demolitions. She questioned the approval process for the building plan of Mende Villa 1 and criticized the lack of adequate notice given to residents before demolitions took place.

Alade’s message to the government emphasized the importance of transparency and fair treatment of residents, urging authorities to communicate directly with affected individuals and provide sufficient notice before taking drastic actions like demolitions.
