Zamfara, The Army Calls On journalists To Prioritize The National Interest In Their Reporting.

He stressed the essential role journalists have in the battle against terrorism and the eradication of various forms of criminal activities within the state.

The Commander expressed these sentiments during a meeting with the Chairman and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zamfara State council at the 1 Brigade Headquarters. He sought to emphasize the importance of prioritizing the national interest in news reporting by the journalists.

General Ahmed praised the Union’s Chairman, Comrade Ibrahim Musa Maizare, and its members for their contributions in promptly disseminating information regarding the troops’ operational activities.

He acknowledged the journalists’ collaborative efforts and support, which had significantly contributed to the operational achievements of the troops.

The Commander encouraged the journalists to continue working closely with the troops to help restore peace and normalcy in Zamfara State.

He also mentioned that the heightened security operations had resulted in abundant agricultural yields and affirmed the military’s commitment to conducting patrols and ensuring that farmers could safely harvest their crops.

In his response, Comrade Maizare, the Chairman of NUJ, Zamfara State council, commended the Nigerian Army for the successful operations they had conducted.
