The bank had previously informed customers about scheduled maintenance from September 29 to October 1. However, many customers took to social media to voice their frustration over the inability to complete online banking transactions during this upgrade period.

In a statement released on Thursday, Zenith Bank confirmed that it had completed its IT infrastructure upgrade and expressed regret for any inconvenience caused. The brief statement, shared via the bank’s official X account, assured customers that they could now access their accounts and conduct transactions seamlessly.

The statement read: “Dear Valued Customer, We sincerely apologize for the service disruptions you experienced recently on our banking channels. This was due to an Information Technology upgrade aimed at improving the quality of service we provide you.”

It further highlighted that the upgrade has enhanced customers’ ability to perform transactions through various banking channels, including the mobile app, internet banking, debit cards, agent banking, and branches nationwide.
