Zlatan Ibile Blasts Fans Who Look Stupid Around Celebrities
Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has criticised fans who become overly excited or behave excessively whenever they encounter celebrities, urging them not to lose their sense of self because of fame.
The singer shared his thoughts in a social media post on Tuesday evening while reacting to the way some people conduct themselves around popular personalities.
Zlatan said he often wishes people who act excessively around celebrities had a famous person in their families. According to him, such familiarity could help them understand that celebrities are ordinary people and that there is more to life than meeting or associating with famous personalities.
The father of two acknowledged that he does not completely blame some fans for their behaviour, noting that their actions may be influenced by the way they perceive celebrity status.
He, however, urged people to maintain their dignity and avoid behaving in ways that could make them targets of ridicule, particularly on social media.
According to Bush Radio Academy, Zlatan’s remarks have drawn attention to the growing debate over how fans interact with celebrities and the extent to which admiration can influence people’s behaviour.
The rapper encouraged fans to look beyond fame and remember the importance of maintaining their individuality and self-respect when interacting with public figures.
“ The way some of y’all look stupid in front of celebrities, I always wish y’all had one in your family. Maybe then you’d understand… Still, I can’t blame some of y’all,” Zlatan said.
