Petrol Price Hike at MRS Filling Stations

MRS Filling Station has announced an increase in petrol pump prices, now selling at ₦930 per litre in Lagos and ₦960 per litre in northern Nigeria, effective from March 28th, 2025.

This adjustment follows the Dangote refinery’s recent suspension of selling petroleum products in naira, marking a significant rise from the previous prices:

• Lagos: ₦860 per litre

• Other South-West States: ₦870 per litre

• Northern Regions: ₦880 per litre

The increase at MRS stations has triggered concerns about a possible domino effect, with other filling stations reportedly adopting similar pricing. For instance, NIPCO sold petrol at ₦930 per litre in Magboro, Ogun State, on Saturday, mirroring MRS’s new pricing.
