19 Northern Governors And CDS Musa Convene With Traditional Rulers To Address Insecurity....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The governors of the 19 Northern states convened on Monday with the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, to address key challenges affecting the region. The meeting, held in Kaduna, also included prominent traditional rulers from Northern Nigeria.

This gathering was part of the Northern States Governors’ Forum’s ongoing initiative to engage with critical stakeholders in tackling persistent issues, particularly insecurity, poverty, the out-of-school-children crisis, and other socio-economic challenges affecting the region.

General Musa provided a briefing on the military’s ongoing efforts to combat banditry, terrorism, and other security threats. Present at the meeting were the governors of Kaduna, Gombe, Zamfara, Nasarawa, Borno, Bauchi, Kwara, and Adamawa states, along with deputy governors representing other Northern states.

Distinguished traditional leaders such as the Sultan of Sokoto, Abubakar Saad; Shehu of Borno, Umar El-Kanemi; Emir of Zazzau, Nuhu Bamali; Ohinoyi of Ebira Land; Etsu Nupe, Yahaya Abubakar; and the Emirs of Kazaure and Bauchi were also in attendance.

In their opening remarks, Governors Yahaya and Sani emphasized the urgent need for decisive action to address the insecurity that has adversely impacted the region’s economy
