2025 New Year: Nigerian Reps Pledge Unwavering Legislative Support For National Growth

Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, acknowledged the challenges faced in 2024, but praised the resilience of Nigerians in overcoming them. In a New Year message released by the House spokesman, Akin Rotimi, Abbas expressed optimism for the year ahead and stressed the importance of unity and continued support for leaders at all levels of government.
“Looking back, we have many reasons to be thankful, as we have been granted the privilege of a successful 2024. As we move into 2025, I remain hopeful that positive changes are on the horizon,” Abbas said.
He further emphasized that, with the collaborative efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, many of the nation’s current challenges can be addressed. “Let us stay hopeful and united. Together, we will overcome our challenges and emerge stronger,” he added.
The Speaker reaffirmed the House’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of Nigerians, guided by the Legislative Agenda (2023–2027).
“We will continue to champion policies that address the critical needs of our citizens, focusing on security, economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and social justice,” he stated. “Our aim is to ensure these reforms lead to tangible, positive changes, especially for the most vulnerable members of society.”
In closing, Abbas prayed for peace, prosperity, and progress in every Nigerian home, reinforcing the House’s dedication to a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria for all.
