The member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is prepared to demonstrate its political strength against opposition parties in the 2027 elections.

Jibrin made the declaration while addressing APC leaders and polling-unit representatives from Kiru and Bebeji Local Government Areas during a special meeting held in Kofa as part of preparations for the forthcoming elections.

The lawmaker vowed that the APC would not concede any elective position in Kano State to opposition parties in 2027.

He expressed confidence that the ruling party would retain the presidency and secure victory in all available elective positions across the state, stressing that party leaders were already working to consolidate their support ahead of the polls.

Jibrin also urged APC members to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation, maintaining that the party possesses the political structures and popular support needed to win across Kano.

He said:

“I swear to God, in Kano, come 2027 general elections, we are not going to surrender a single seat for them. I repeat, APC will not surrender a single seat for opposition parties.

“They will know our worth and I am assuring that this coming election we will teach them the lesson of their lives.”

The APC chieftain acknowledged that the party had previously faced internal challenges but expressed optimism that efforts were underway to resolve the issues and strengthen its unity.

Jibrin identified President Bola Tinubu, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo, former governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Deputy Senate President Barau I. Jibrin, former governor Ibrahim Shekarau, Senator Kawu Sumaila and Senator Rufai Hanga, among other party leaders and candidates, as key figures within the APC’s political structure in the state.

He said the involvement of these leaders, together with candidates contesting National and State Assembly seats, had further strengthened the APC’s preparations and political machinery ahead of the 2027 elections.
