In a recent interview, the APC stalwart from Anambra state, who has been subject to rumors about defecting to the Labour Party (LP), discussed various aspects of Nigerian politics. He emphasized that the APC faces significant challenges ahead of the next general election. Additionally, Moghalu shared insights on the proposed single-term presidency and governorship, and assessed the electoral prospects of his state’s Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, in the upcoming 2026 election.

Reflecting on his post-NIWA life, Moghalu commented on his return to private life and focused on his academic pursuits. He disclosed his enrollment in a law degree program at Nile University and his ongoing PhD studies at the University of Abuja.

When asked about leaving active politics, Moghalu emphasized that politics remains an integral part of his life. He acknowledged that while he may not hold a current appointive or elective position, he continues to manage his time to balance his studies and political engagements.

Addressing rumors of his departure from the APC, Moghalu clarified that he has not formally resigned from the party. He stressed that any decision to leave the APC would be communicated through an official statement from his recognized representative or media office, following due process within the party structure.

Moghalu concluded by reaffirming his commitment to transparency and due process in political engagements, underscoring his belief in accountability and integrity in public service.
