2027 Power Moves: Dickson Meets Peter Obi, Kwankwaso As Fresh Details Emerge
The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, on Thursday held a meeting with the party’s 2027 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, as preparations for the general elections intensify.
The meeting was also attended by the NDC National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas, and other senior party leaders.
According to Dickson, the discussions formed part of ongoing consultations within the party on issues concerning its political plans and matters of national interest.
The NDC National Leader disclosed that the party was also working towards finalising arrangements for the unveiling of its Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He urged party members, stakeholders and aspirants to remain united and close ranks as the party prepares for the elections.
Dickson stressed the need for all members to work collectively towards securing victory for NDC candidates across all levels of the electoral contest.
Sharing details of the meeting on his X account, Dickson said:
“Today, I met with our Party’s Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and the Running Mate, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, alongside the National Chairman and other party leaders, in continuation of our consultations and deliberations on issues concerning our Party and the nation.
“We met two days ago, and we met again today to further deliberate and finalise decisions, particularly as we prepare for the unveiling of our Party’s Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“At this critical stage, I call on all stakeholders, aspirants and members of our great Party to unite, close ranks and work collectively for the success of our candidates at all levels, from top to bottom,” Dickson wrote.
