Another contender, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has also obtained the party’s presidential form.

The National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, confirmed the development to Saturday Punch on Friday.

“Yes, all three of them — Atiku, Amaechi, and Hayatu-Deen — have obtained the forms,” he stated.

The ADC presidential nomination form is priced at ₦90 million.

Hayatu-Deen officially received his form from the party’s National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, on Friday.

In a statement released afterward, the former banker stressed that the 2027 election should prioritize economic recovery, improved security, job creation, and easing the rising cost of living.

According to him, Nigerians are frustrated by growing insecurity, struggling businesses, shrinking employment opportunities, and the increasing cost of essential goods and services. He argued that the election should move beyond routine political rhetoric and instead focus on rebuilding the economy, restoring public confidence, and improving living conditions nationwide.

Hayatu-Deen also emphasized that lasting economic growth cannot be achieved without stability and security, describing safety as the backbone of any prosperous nation.

Meanwhile, the ADC has scheduled the sale of its expression of interest and nomination forms between May 6 and May 13, amid ongoing political realignments within the opposition ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed the presidential and National Assembly elections for January 16, 2027, while governorship and State House of Assembly elections are slated for February 6, 2027.

INEC further announced that party primaries and the settlement of related disputes will take place from April 23 to May 30, 2026. Campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections are expected to commence on August 19, 2026, while governorship and state assembly campaigns will begin on September 9, 2026.
