In a recent operation, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reported significant success against terrorism in Katsina State. According to a statement by AVM Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information for NAF, airstrikes conducted on June 15 targeted a terrorist hideout in Faskare Local Government Area.
The operation, part of Operation Hadarin Daji, was initiated based on intelligence indicating terrorists were burning houses near Gidan Kare Village. The airstrikes resulted in the elimination of over 80 terrorists and the destruction of 45 motorcycles at their hideout in Gidan Kare Village, Ruwan Godiya Ward.
Gabkwet highlighted that the airstrikes were crucial in disrupting terrorist activities linked to notorious figures like Yusuf Yellow and Rabe Imani. The strikes have significantly hindered further terrorist plans in the area.
This successful mission underscores NAF’s ongoing commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring security in affected regions.
