Since assuming office in June 2023, Adeniyi has spearheaded the Customs Service to achieve remarkable milestones in revenue collection, earning him this prestigious accolade.

The NEAPS ceremony, aimed at fostering a culture of acknowledgment and accountability in public service, featured Vice President Kashim Shettima representing President Tinubu. Vice President Shettima underscored the critical role of public service in national development, emphasizing the need for public institutions to operate transparently and efficiently.

In response to the recognition, CGC Adeniyi expressed gratitude and perceived it as a catalyst to further elevate the Customs Service’s performance. “This national recognition challenges us to redouble our efforts in serving our country with pride. It inspires us to uphold diligence and dedication in our duties,” remarked Adeniyi.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, also addressed the awardees, urging them to maintain their exemplary service. He highlighted the rigorous and objective criteria used in selecting the recipients, reflecting the high standards expected from leaders across public and private sectors alike.
