The kidnap kingpin’s final judgment was delivered on Monday by an Ikeja court. He was apprehended in 2017 for heinous crimes.

Evans and his co-defendant Victor Aduba received a 21-year prison sentence from Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Special Offenses Court for kidnapping Sylvanus Hafia.
On June 23, 2014, at around 5:30 p.m., at Kara Street, Amuwo Odofin in Lagos, the suspect was accused of conspiring to kidnap Sylvanus Ahanonu Hafia and demanding a $2 million ransom in exchange for his release. The suspect entered a plea of not guilty to all four charges.
