Ghanian- Liberian Actor, Comedian Micheal Blackson drops some words of encouragement for electorates and Nigerians upset with the turnout of the 2023 presidential election results.
This comes after Nigerians have lamented over INEC declaring APC Flagbearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu President-elect and will be sworn in on May 29th.
“You can’t live your life depending on a president just work hard and let God be your father”, The philanthropist said via his Instagram handle.
“The message is to anyone who is not happy with who their president is. You can’t live your life depending on a president just work hard and let God be your leader. You can’t depend on a president for you to be successful in life”. He said CONTINUE READING
“Since I went to America I have seen seven different presidents and non of them changed my life, I changed my life by the grace of God. Don’t give that man too much power. you can do it without them. Be a leader yourself not a follower”.
Michael Blackson is based in America he shared his experience with different America president he said “Reagan was an Actor so I didn’t know when he was real or acting, Bush Sr was confused, Bush Jr was slow, Clinton had side chicks, Obama smoked Marlboros, Trump was nuts and Biden falls every other week. I couldn’t depend on non of them Modasuck*s, i made it on my own”, He said.
His opinion raised many reactions some are below:
“Stop comparing Nigeria to a America. America has a structure, and is always improving. Nigeria has no structure. You think if you stayed in Africa you can become this successful
Rest abeg”
“This is dumb talk! Go and re educate yourself. You’re popular doesn’t make you smart. You became successful cos an enabling environment which not perfect but enabling enough to help you succeed. If you don’t have an enabling environment, nothing works and you can only create that by voting a sensible person or people in positions in power. A few can succeed in a broken system but a fixed system is better where everyone succeeds and where motivational faux speakers like you won’t be necessary”
disagree. A good president can build infrastructures that are needed for entrepreneurs to succeed.
“Blackson… with all due respect this is completely out of ignorance. You are saying don’t depend on any president….. the development of a country starts from the government. You were only able to make it because the structure was already out in place and it works. Nigerians are not asking to be spoon speed. They are asking for basic amenities, road, hospitals, water, electricity. If there is electricity, half of the nations unemployment is gone. So please don’t say I came to America and I had to work hard so get where I am cos I assure you if you had to put in that same effort in Nigeria, the outcome of your life today would be completely different”.
“Well said bro. But you see, insecurity can make success & riches useless. That’s why some of us don’t want some particular leaders. Nothing else.❤️❤️”
“I know you mean well but this message is so stupid. You have no idea what Nigerians are going through. This is not about being successful or unsuccessful in live. No matter how much money you have in Nigeria – you have no access to healthcare, security, electricity, etc. The list goes on. Nigeria is a country where nothing works and the leaders of the country are responsible for that. The currency has lost its value by more than 300% in the last 8 years. With all due respect stfu.”
” beg to differ. Your location determines your allocation. While few may succeed in a ‘messed up society but in an enabling environment, many will. While I get your point on individuals working hard as well, good governance determines the directions or outcomes of our efforts. On the one hand, you contradict yourself because if you remained in the ‘motherland, you likely wouldn’t have attained the heights you’ve attained by now in the US — enabling environment. That you can even jokingly & freely make those statements about past presidents is one of the ‘perks you’re enjoying being in the US; Many have said less in Africa & are no more. The race is not just to the ‘swift sir. Shallom.‼️🤍”
“Oga MichaelBlackson with all due respect you’ve been spilling a lot of jargons regarding the outcome of our election. You don’t know anything about Nigerian system. If you can’t do your research I will rather implore you to ask questions rather than coming online to sound stupid. Since you trust your hard work so much, why did you run away from your country to a better society with established institutions to exhibit your hard workingness. Stop talking trash. People fought and died in America for you to be enjoying those working institutions, they didn’t happen overnight. Who cares about who is the president if there are working institutions that allows or encourage had work. Abeg go and sit down, I will listen to you when you come and make it in Nigeria”
“A beautiful message to my fellow Nigerians”
