The gruesome find, which occurred on Sunday, saw residents of Ore and Odigbo communities gripped with fear after spotting the headless bodies floating in the river. The disturbing positioning of the corpses has led to suspicions of ritual killings before the victims were dumped into the water.

Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Alayande, acknowledged the incident, stating it was reported at the Ore Division. He added that the Divisional Police Officer dispatched detectives to the scene and convened a meeting with community leaders and various local groups to assist in identifying the bodies. So far, no one has claimed or identified the victims.

Alayande said, “I can confirm that three corpses were recovered from a river in Odigbo. The DPO involved local stakeholders and urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
