ADC Explodes: Party Reveals Real Reason Behind Expulsion Of Leke Abejide, Bala-Gombe, Others
The African Democratic Congress has confirmed the expulsion of several members following decisions reached at its National Convention held on April 14, 2026, in Abuja.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the action followed the adoption of a disciplinary motion against members found to have violated the party’s constitution and core principles.
He noted that the affected individuals have been removed from the party with immediate effect.
Those expelled under the leadership of the party’s National Chairman, David Mark, include Hon. Leke Abejide, Nafiu Bala Gombe, Kingsley Temitope Ogga, Don Norman Obinna, Kennedy Odion, Clement Ehigiator, Stella Chukwuma, Patrick Ambut, Johny Tovie Derek, Duke Dick, and Elias Adikwu.
Abdullahi explained that the expulsions were the outcome of a motion on disciplinary measures against erring members, which was presented and approved by delegates at the convention.
According to the party, the decision aligns with resolutions reached during the convention held at the Rainbow Event Centre in Abuja, where members endorsed strict adherence to party rules and internal discipline.
With this development, the expelled individuals are no longer members of the ADC and are free to join any other political platform if they choose.
The party reiterated its commitment to discipline, internal democracy, and the rule of law, stressing that it will continue to uphold accountability as it positions itself as a credible alternative in Nigeria’s political landscape.
