In a statement issued on Monday, Igboho said all necessary documents required for the registration and approval of the security organisation had already been submitted to the Federal Government, adding that he expects approval to be granted soon.

He explained that the group is fully prepared to collaborate with security agencies, including the police, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Army, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), in tackling kidnapping, banditry, and other criminal activities affecting rural communities.

Igboho also commended the efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in addressing insecurity across the country, particularly in the South-West region.

According to him, the Iru Ekun Security Network is equally ready to comply with the executive order introduced by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, regulating the activities of private security outfits.

He stressed the importance of peace and security in promoting agriculture, economic growth, and stable livelihoods in rural communities.

“We have submitted all the required documents for our registered security firm, Iru Ekun Security Network, and are only waiting for the Federal Government approval which will be granted soon,” he said.

“We are absolutely ready to collaborate with the police, Department of State Service (DSS), Nigeria Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other relevant stakeholders in the security sector to flush out terrorists, kidnappers, bandits, and other hoodlums threatening the peace and safety of our people, especially in rural communities.”

He further stated that President Tinubu’s administration appears committed to confronting insecurity across all regions of the country.

“It is obvious that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is resolutely committed to tackle criminalities not only in the South West but also in all other regions plagued by insecurity,” he added.

Igboho reiterated that his group would fully support government efforts aimed at strengthening security and maintaining peace in Oyo State and other parts of Yorubaland.

“Without peace and security, healthy socio-economic development cannot thrive, especially in rural communities that serve as the backbone of agricultural production and food security,” the statement added.
