Lagos APC Reveals Key Candidates For 2027 State Assembly And House Of Reps Polls

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the official list of candidates who will represent the party in the 2027 House of Assembly and House of Representatives elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The list was made public on Monday in a notice signed by the Lagos APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, following the completion of the party’s primary elections.

According to the announcement, the party selected 24 candidates for the House of Representatives and 40 candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Among the notable House of Representatives candidates are the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, who will contest for Agege Federal Constituency; James Abiodun Faleke for Ikeja Federal Constituency; and Babajimi Benson for Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

In Alimosho, Olabisi Adebanjo emerged as the APC flagbearer, standing out as the only female candidate among the 24 House of Representatives nominees.

Lagos House of Assembly Candidates

For the Lagos State House of Assembly, Deputy Speaker Mojisola Meranda secured the ticket for Apapa Constituency I, while Barakat Bakare-Odunuga defeated incumbent Desmond Elliott to clinch the Surulere I ticket.

Damilola Ayinde-Marshall, daughter of Fuji music legend King Ayinde Wasiu, also emerged as the APC candidate for Surulere II.

Other notable winners include Saheed Bankole (Eti-Osa I), Gbolahan Yishawu (Eti-Osa II), Oladipo Olayinka Ajomale (Oshodi-Isolo I), and Mayowa Alakija (Oshodi-Isolo II).

In Ikorodu, Toyin Gafar and Moshood Aro emerged for Ikorodu I and II respectively, while Orekoya Abiodun and Moruf Alli-Balogun secured Somolu I and II tickets.

Temitope Adewale and Rasheed Lanre Makinde won Ifako-Ijaiye I and II, while Oluwaseun Adebisi Ege and Suraju Tijani clinched Ojo I and II.

For Ikeja, Adedamola Kasumu and Adeseyi Lawal emerged for Constituencies I and II respectively.

In Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Saad Olumoh and Sabur Akanbi Oluwa secured tickets for Constituencies I and II, while in Lagos Island, Lara Olumegbon-Lawal and Yusuf Nurudeen Abiodun emerged for Constituencies I and II.

Meanwhile, the party’s Appeals Committee is still reviewing petitions arising from the primaries and addressing grievances filed by some aspirants.
