The property, located at Lakoun Estate along Olomi–Olojuoro Road in Oluyole Local Government Area, was reportedly used by the suspects before the victims were rescued by police operatives.

The victims were abducted last Wednesday and later freed on Saturday following a coordinated security operation.

According to reports, officials of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation arrived at the site on Monday, June 8, with heavy equipment to commence demolition of the structure.

The exercise was carried out under the supervision of operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, who provided security at the scene.

Residents reportedly gathered to watch as government officials began pulling down the suspected criminal hideout.

The demolition followed the recent rescue of Adelabu’s sister and her twin sons, an incident that heightened public concern over rising cases of kidnapping in parts of the country.

Security agencies were said to have traced the victims to the building before securing their release.

The action is believed to be part of the state government’s broader effort to clamp down on criminal activities and prevent residential properties from being used as hideouts by kidnappers and other criminal elements.

As of the time of filing this report, the state government had not issued an official statement detailing the demolition exercise.

However, the presence of government officials and police operatives at the scene confirmed that the operation was being carried out under official supervision.
