The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious at the polling unit of its governorship candidate and incumbent Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, in the ongoing governorship election.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Results announced from Polling Unit 003, Ward 06, Okelele, Ikogosi-Ekiti, showed that the APC recorded a landslide victory with 326 votes.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) garnered two votes, while the Action Democratic Party (ADP) and the African Action Congress (AAC) received one vote each. Three ballots were declared invalid.

Governor Oyebanji, who is seeking a second term in office, had earlier cast his vote at the polling unit alongside his wife, Olayemi Oyebanji, at approximately 11:38 a.m.

Addressing journalists after voting, the governor expressed optimism about the APC’s chances in the election, stating that the party was on course to exceed its target of 500,000 votes statewide.

He also praised the impressive turnout of voters and appealed to residents to remain patient with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) amid reports of technical challenges in some areas.

Oyebanji expressed confidence that the electoral process would remain inclusive and assured that all eligible voters would have the opportunity to cast their ballots.
