Bryan Zaragoza Set To Leave Bayern Munich For Espanyol

Bayern Munich winger Bryan Zaragoza is reportedly on the verge of joining Spanish side Espanyol on loan after the two clubs reached an agreement over the transfer of the 24-year-old attacker.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Zaragoza has agreed to the move as Espanyol look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign. The proposed deal is expected to include a buy clause, although reports remain unclear on whether the option would become mandatory and the exact financial terms involved.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that the initial agreement is structured as a loan, with discussions still ongoing over some of the final details of the arrangement.

Zaragoza joined Bayern Munich from Granada in 2024 in a deal reportedly worth around €15 million. However, the winger has struggled to establish himself as a regular member of the German champions’ first-team plans since his arrival.

His time at Bayern has been accompanied by several loan spells, including stints with Osasuna, Celta Vigo and Roma. He spent the second half of the 2025/26 season at Roma after his temporary move to Celta Vigo was brought to an early end.

The proposed transfer to Espanyol would see Zaragoza return to La Liga as he looks to regain consistency, secure regular playing time and rebuild his career after an unsettled spell in Germany.

Espanyol reportedly view the Spain international as a versatile and creative attacking player capable of operating on the wing and creating problems for defenders in one-on-one situations.

For Bayern Munich, the move would provide another opportunity to reshape their squad, while Zaragoza would have the chance to rediscover his best form in familiar surroundings and establish himself once again in Spanish football.
