I Have Closed A Chapter – Ghanaian Actress Nana Akua Addo Speaks On Marriage Separation

Ghanaian actress and fashion personality Nana Akua Addo has announced her separation from her husband, Harold Norman, weeks after reports emerged that she was allegedly assaulted and hospitalised following a domestic violence incident.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the actress had earlier confirmed the incident and disclosed that the police were investigating the matter. The Ghana Police Service also reportedly stated that Norman’s hospitalisation had delayed his arraignment over the alleged domestic violence case.

On Friday, October 30, 2026, Addo made her first public appearance since the incident as she walked the runway at Lagos Fashion Week.

The German-born Ghanaian actress and model featured in a fashion showcase by designer Sevonda Jana, where she closed the presentation wearing a wedding gown.

However, the outfit carried a deeper personal message, as the mother of two explained that it represented the end of a chapter in her marriage and the beginning of a new phase in her life.

In a statement shared on her Instagram page, Addo reflected on her appearance and described the moment as more than just a fashion presentation.

“Last night, I walked into my moment and gave the runway a finale to remember. I closed the show in a wedding gown, just as I closed a chapter in my own story,” she wrote.

She further expressed that endings could create opportunities for new beginnings, adding that embracing change requires courage.

“Perhaps there is something beautiful about endings, new beginnings and the courage to embrace both. Closing @sevondejana at Lagos Fashion Week 2026 was more than a walk for me. That statement truly had to be made. Some chapters end, but the woman always remains the story,” she added.

Her appearance and statement have drawn attention to her reported marital separation, with the wedding gown serving as a symbolic expression of a new chapter in her personal life.
