Skales Opens Up On Wizkid Feud, Reveals Several Attempts To Make Peace
Nigerian singer Skales has opened up about his long-standing disagreement with fellow music star Wizkid, revealing that he has made several attempts to resolve their differences and restore their relationship.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the singer shared his account during a recent interview with Osi Suave, where he traced the beginning of the disagreement to a question-and-answer session he organised on Twitter.
Skales explained that a user asked him about Wizkid during the session, prompting him to respond that the Grammy-winning singer no longer had his attention. He said the comment quickly went viral and appeared to have upset Wizkid, contributing to the tension between them.
The ‘Shake Body’ crooner also recalled a period when Wizkid allegedly made insulting comments about his parents and accused him of wearing fake jewellery on the social media platform. Skales, however, clarified that his former girlfriend was responsible for responding to Wizkid through his account at the time.
Despite the exchanges, Skales said he had made repeated efforts to settle the disagreement and put the controversy behind them.
He further disclosed that Wizkid was expected to feature in the music video for his song ‘Mukulu’ but eventually failed to attend, reportedly explaining that his vehicle had developed a flat tyre.
Skales’ account offers fresh insight into the history of the disagreement between the two Nigerian music stars, although he did not indicate whether his latest efforts to reconcile with Wizkid had been successful.
