Pivot Integrated Energy Services Limited has redeemed its ₦8.25 billion Series 1 Tranche A Commercial Paper two days ahead of its scheduled maturity, marking a significant milestone in the company’s capital market activities and highlighting its commitment to meeting financial obligations.

The 90-day financial instrument, which was scheduled to mature on November 2, 2026, was fully settled on October 31, 2026.

The early repayment represents Pivot’s first repayment obligation since entering Nigeria’s Commercial Paper market less than three months ago.

The company described the development as more than a routine financial transaction, noting that it reflects its commitment to responsible financial management and strengthening relationships with investors as it pursues its growth plans in Nigeria’s downstream energy sector.

Pivot’s maiden Series 1 Commercial Paper issuance, which closed in August 2026, attracted subscriptions worth ₦100.08 billion against an initial target of ₦100 billion, indicating strong investor interest in the offer.

The issuance was divided into four tranches with tenors of 90, 180, 270 and 364 days. It represents the first phase of the company’s ₦300 billion Commercial Paper Programme.

Following the successful redemption of Tranche A, the remaining 180-day, 270-day and 364-day instruments are still outstanding and will be settled according to their respective maturity schedules.

Commenting on the development, Pivot’s Managing Director, Babajide Babatope, said the early repayment demonstrated the company’s determination to honour its commitments to investors who supported its entry into the capital market.

He explained that the company considered the successful settlement an important step towards building lasting relationships with the investment community through trust, accountability and financial discipline.

Babatope also appreciated the pension funds, insurance companies, banks, fund managers and other institutional investors who participated in the issuance, describing their support as important to the company’s long-term ambitions.

He further acknowledged Pathway Advisors Limited, which served as Transaction Sponsor, Financial Adviser, Lead Issuing House and Lead Arranger, for its guidance throughout the transaction.

Also speaking, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pathway Advisors Limited, Adekunle Alade, said Pivot’s early repayment demonstrated the importance of financial discipline in building investor confidence, particularly for companies making their first appearance in the capital market.

Alade noted that meeting repayment obligations ahead of schedule sends a positive signal about an issuer’s commitment to financial responsibility and helps establish a track record that could support future fundraising activities.

He added that the responsibilities of financial advisers extend beyond arranging debt issuance to include maintaining engagement with clients, monitoring the use of funds and helping companies prepare for repayment obligations.

According to him, Pivot’s early settlement of the 90-day tranche highlights the importance of effective financial planning, professional advisory support and consistent communication with investors.

As the company continues to implement its business strategy, the successful redemption is expected to provide a foundation for its remaining capital market activities. Pivot said it remains committed to settling the outstanding tranches in line with their respective maturity dates while maintaining strong investor relationships.

Incorporated in December 2017, Pivot Integrated Energy Services Limited is an indigenous downstream energy company involved in the importation, trading, storage, distribution and supply of refined petroleum products, including Premium Motor Spirit, Automotive Gas Oil and Aviation Turbine Kerosene, across Nigeria and selected African markets.

The company is also one of 20 approved off-takers under the Dangote Refinery PMS Consortium, with a target allocation of 300 million litres per quarter. It has expanded its regional operations into Ghana and is planning to enter the Tanzanian market.

Pivot currently holds credit ratings from Agusto & Co., GCR Ratings and DataPro Limited, reflecting assessments of its short-term and long-term credit standing.
