It was revealed that the gang specializes in targeting and monitoring faulty loaded trucks on various roads, including Abuja-Kaduna Road, Keffi/Jos Road, Nasarawa/Akwanga Road, and Minna/Suleja Road.

Upon their arrest, the suspects attempted to bribe the DPO with N500,000 to halt the case. However, the officer stood firm and refused the bribe.

The police public relations officer of Niger State Command, Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the incident and stated that the syndicate confessed to their crimes.

The suspects claimed to have a warehouse in Akwanga where they stored the looted items, which they later sold in Kano State. The nine suspects have been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Minna for further investigation.
